In this role, he not only led the program but also directed positional training across multiple age groups and coached the top 15U and 16U teams. During his tenure, his teams achieved multiple Top 10 finishes at National Qualifiers, made club history as the first MOD team to qualify for Nationals (2022), and secured two Top 30 national finishes in the Open division (15th and 29th). Jimmy was also named the High School Elite Coach of the Year in 2025.

Prior to MOD, Jimmy was the Associate Director at Illini Elite Volleyball Club in Bloomington, IL, where he oversaw the High School Elite program and led all Youth Development initiatives. Under his leadership, the club earned four AAU medal finishes and helped more than 100 athletes advance to the collegiate level.

Jimmy’s coaching experience also includes time at the NCAA Division I level with the University of Illinois under Head Coach Kevin Hambly. There, he helped mentor All-Americans Jocelynn Birks, Liz McMahon, and Jennifer Beltran, while contributing to a Sweet 16 NCAA Tournament run in 2013. He later served as a Scouting Consultant for Stanford University in 2018. At the high school level, Jimmy coached University High School (Normal, IL), helping guide the program to a Top 8 state finish and a Super Sectional appearance.

As a player, Jimmy competed for the Illinois State University Men’s Club Volleyball team from 2008–2011. Jimmy graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s in Physical Education, as well as an MBA.

Jimmy is passionate about building a club culture centered around development, accountability, confidence, and a genuine love for the game. He is incredibly excited to launch Odyssey Volleyball Academy and create a home where athletes and families feel supported both on and off the court. He is committed to helping athletes grow into strong teammates, leaders, and well-rounded individuals while building something truly special for the North Shore volleyball community.
